The Deerfield Zoning
Board of Appeals/Adjustments ensures compliance
of the Deerfield's Zoning Ordinance while preserving
the rights of all of the citizens, and assists with
any concerns relating to the ordinance.
The Zoning Board is a
permit granting authority appointed by the selectmen.
The Board grants variances or exceptions to the
zoning laws and is responsible for granting special
permits and variances and hearing appeals for action
by the Building Inspector and or zoning enforcement
officer for certain types of construction in zoned
areas.
The board is seeking 2 new full members, one who can serve as Clerk, as well as additional alternates.
