VEASEY PARK - Deerfield Town Beach

Open to: Residents and Accompanied Guests Only

Veasey Park is a family friendly, resident only park located on Pleasant Lake, and has been a valued part of the community since 1909. The park features several picnic areas, cooking grills, grassy common grounds, shaded groves, and of course, a sandy beach with a large swim area and raft.

The Park also provides its patrons with a complete bath house equipped with an environmentally friendly composting toilet system, wash sinks, and changing rooms. The Park is currently involved in solar energy project to power the lighting of the grounds and our facilities.

The newest addition to the park is the paddle-craft only launch site and wooded access path. Completed in 2016, it provides the residents of Deerfield with safe and convenient access to Pleasant lake. The launch area is designed to not interfere with beach-goers and is intended for the launching of canoes, kayaks and paddleboards only. Users of the launch must observe all safety requirements and rules adopted by the Veasey Park Commission.

Absolutely no motorized boats of any type allowed.

Swim lessons are provided free of charge and are taught by certified waterfront swim instructors. Please visit our website or lifeguards on duty for details and registration forms. Veasey Park is open from 6am to 10pm for use by Deerfield residents, summer residents, and guests accompanied by a resident. The park opens Memorial Day weekend and closes October 1.
