211: Call 211. This resource offers information and referrals; it also is an emergency housing resource.

*Haven: 24-hour toll-free crisis hotline (888) 747-7070. Relay for the deaf and hard of hearing: (888) 735-2964 (or 711). This agency provides a 24-hour hotline and 24-hour support services. It is dedicated to the prevention of child sexual abuse, sexual assault and stalking, while supporting victims, survivors and others impacted by sexual violence. It also offers educational services to local schools

*Aids Response Seacoast: Call 603-433-5377. Email info@aidsresponse.org. Offices: 1 Junkins Avenue, Portsmouth, NH 03801. Its mission is to improve the lives of those living with HIV/AIDS and their families and to help prevent the spread of the virus through education and prevention programs. The website has prevention and testing info.

*American Red Cross: Call (800) 464-6692. The ARC provides services in all hazards emergency preparations. The ARC is in our Deerfield community after natural disasters, or local tragedies such as fires, providing shelter, supplies, and vouchers to residents affected by this disaster.

*Area Homecare & Family Services, Inc: Call 603-436-9059 ext. 1. The agency serves need-based and financially eligible elderly and adults with disabilities living in Rockingham County. It provides home care services and has “Project Cool Air”, which provides air conditioners to low-income, medically fragile elders.

*Child Advocacy Center of Rockingham Co: Call 603-422-8240 with questions. This non-profit organization provides: a safe environment for children who were abused to be interviewed and evaluated; case management and community education programs; and a connection of families with community resources. If your child discloses something that is of concern -- avoid the temptation to ask direct or leading questions. Bring this info to the attention of the appropriate authorities: the Division for Children Youth and Families (1-800-894-5533) and/or your local police department. Ask for help, get support for yourself, and let your child know that you are proud of them for talking to you.

*Waypoint: Call Toll Free: 800-640-6486; Tel: 603-518-4000.This agency has serves families in “Early Supports and Services”. They also provide adolescent substance abuse treatment, family counseling, early intervention and support, and many other programs.

*Court Appointed Special Advocates: “CASA” is a private, nonprofit organization whose volunteers advocate in New Hampshire’s courts for the best interests of abused and neglected children, so they can grow up in safe, permanent homes. National Alliance on Mental Health (NAMI) NH: Call 603-225-5359 or (800) 242-6264. NAMI NH is a grassroots organization of and for people of all ages, their families and friends who are affected by mental illness. Address: 85 North State Street, Concord, NH 03301.

This Department administers food stamps, Medicaid, TANF and other programs. Deerfield residents use the Seacoast District Office, 50 International Drive, Portsmouth, NH 03801.

Legal Advice and Referral Center: Call (800) 639-5290 or 603-224-3333. LARC provides free legal information, advice and referrals to low-income people with family law & housing issues. LARC refers cases to Pro Bono, NHLA and other legal service agencies.

NH Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals: Call 603-772-2921. This is a community resource center bringing animals and people together, providing adoption, education, investigation and sheltering services. Address: 104 Portsmouth Ave., Stratham, NH 03885.

This agency provides developmental and therapy services for children with and without special needs, support and education to their families and guidance in accessing community and health resources. *Rockingham Community Action: Call 603-895-2303. CAP (community action program) offers emergency food assistance, fuel assistance, electrical assistance, weatherization, literacy classes, senior services, WIC, and outreach center services just to name some of their programs. *Rockingham Nutrition & Meals on Wheels Program: Call 679-2201. This agency delivers weekday meals to elderly and disabled residents and also performs safety focused auxiliary services for residents. The agency also offers the following programs: Home Care Program, Homemakers and Companions, Maternal Child Health Services, Partners in Health, Personal Care, Hospice Services, Spiritual/Bereavement Services, Home Medical and Infusion Services, Senior Life Planning.

*Seacoast Mental Health Center, Inc: Seacoast mental Health Center - NH Rapid Response Access Point available 24/7 — by phone, text or chat: 833-710-6477 or NH988.com. This agency provides mental health service to residents; it is a State-designated community mental health center (CMHC). Call the Portsmouth Office at 603 431 6703 or the Exeter Office at 603 772 2710, Monday-Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm. If you require emergency services outside of the general business hours, the answering service will take your name and phone number and a trained on-call clinician will immediately return your call. In an immediate emergency, CALL 911.

This agency offers FREE information referral and assistance for older adults, adults with disabilities and chronic illnesses, and for those who love and care for them. ServiceLink answers questions and connects users to the appropriate services that support healthy and independent living.
