Citizens Police Academy

The goal of the Citizens Police Academy is to familiarize the public with how the Police Department operates within its policies and procedures. This program provides an avenue for Police Officers to positively interact with the citizens of Deerfield as we realize that we cannot be effective without their support. We hope to eliminate any misconceptions the public may have of Police Officers.

Our Academy is an eight week program and participants meet once a week for a two hour session. Sessions are taught by our officers along with others who are involved in the law enforcement profession who will make presentations on the many different course topics that we will cover.
